Very good shrimp poboy. Great fried catfish and hush puppies.Tasty gumbo. Eating outside on a cool summer afternoon is the way to go!

The Workshop is by far the best restaurant in benicia, the owners are super nice, friendly and serve up great food at a very reasonable price, I eat there every couple of weeks and I have never had a bad bite, always really good. Great food, I recommend trying The Workshop , you will go back.
If you haven't tried the Workshop out, you're missing out on one of the best places to go for lunch in Benicia. If anyone ever asks for recommendations on where to eat in town, the Workshop is always on my top 3 list. The food is phenomenal and is made fresh every day. They even have the prep tables set up right along the large windows in front of the business so you can watch them make your food. Top quality. Top service. Treat yo self.
Worth the drive (and the toll!) from Oakland. Perfect Oyster Po-boys, great Jambalaya and the GUMBO!!

My first time here and it did not disappoint! I was originally going to order the shrimp po boy but then I saw on the specials board an oyster po boy. I definitely got my monies worth. The oysters tasted fresh and they were fried up to perfection. You could definitely share the sandwich with someone so you can sample other things too. Very generous portions.
It was fun to be able to see the food being made. There is a window so you can see chef making the sandwiches! He gave me a look asking how it was. I gave a big thumbs up, mouth full and sauce dripping down my chin.
There is a wait but that's to be expected with made to order excellence.
I highly recommend this place!
